Mint* Dental Staff - An Introduction

Alice_Robbins

Alice Robbins, Dental Assistant

A native of Greensboro, North Carolina, Alice moved to Raleigh to attend North Carolina State University — Go Pack! In addition to loving the Packers, Alice adores the outdoors. In fact, the endless opportunities for enjoying the natural world are what enticed her to move to Montana. Joining the team at MINT* was an added bonus that has further enriched her life here in Bozeman. She appreciates how truly nice and welcoming the staff and doctors are, and enjoys helping to make a trip to the dentist an easy experience for MINT* patients.

It’s no surprise that while not at work Alice is often outside. She likes hiking, fly fishing, and camping — especially when accompanied by her dogs, a black lab named Weezie, and a springer spaniel named Gracie.

Angela Wubben, Office Manager & Patient Care Coordinator

MINT* Dental Studio’s very own self-professed coffee enthusiast; Angela grew up in Glendive, MT. She came to Bozeman to attend Montana State University, where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Cell Biology and Neuroscience, Biomedical option, graduating with Highest Honors. Also while at MSU, Angela participated in undergraduate research projects in the Bioinformatics laboratory.

Angela met her husband at the Three Forks Rodeo and they reside in Clarkston, where they raise wheat, barley, and cattle. And if ranch living is not enough to occupy their day, Angela and her husband are busy trying to corral their son Kal and daughter Kailee. In her spare time, Angela also enjoys camping trips, hunting and archery, reading, singing (yes, that includes karaoke!), and did we mention, coffee?

Annie_Syverson

Annie Syversen, Patient Care Coordinator

A true Butte, American: Annie moved to Minnesota in her teens, but that couldn’t keep her away for long. A graduate of St. Cloud University, St. Cloud, MN, with a Bachelor of Elective Studies and a minor in Early Childhood Education, Annie is happy to finally be back in Montana so she can be closer to her two nephews, be around family, and to be part of our wonderful Bozeman community.

Annie’s experience at MINT* has shown her what a positive impact good dental health can have on a person, and enjoys working for an office that is up-to-date (with technology and dental care). She loves that Dr. Tanguay and Dr. Hollern are both active with outreach projects in the community and they are always willing to support local businesses in Bozeman. And she also enjoys the ability to work with a wide range of patients (from babies to adult).

When she’s not working with Mint* patients, Annie enjoys camping, fly-fishing, snowboarding and adventuring around the beautiful state of MT with her husband and their dog Alice.

Brandi_Wilkinson

Brandi Wilkinson, Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)

Brandi hails from beautiful Sidney, Montana. She left the Treasure State to earn her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wyoming and complete her dental hygiene training through Sheridan Community College. Now at home in Bozeman, she loves working at MINT* because of her fantastic coworkers and boss. She wholeheartedly stands behind the office’s conservative approach to dentistry and appreciates the MINT* commitment to treating only what is necessary.

A true Montana girl, Brandi enjoys her free days outdoors, hiking, biking, kayaking, fishing, and doing everything in between. She has a passion for old treasures, and spends her days thrifting and antiquing, and her nights repurposing and crafting. Norma Jean, a yorkie-schnauzer mix, and Yeti, a golden retriever, keep her company.

Britney

Britney Chase, Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)

After growing up in Fairfield, Montana, a tiny town of just 700 people, Britney earned her Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene from Montana State University in Great Falls.

As a hygienist at MINT*, she loves the positive environment and her friendly colleagues, and finds fulfillment in helping a broad spectrum of patients; working in the busy heart of vibrant downtown Bozeman is also a perk!

Being raised in the Treasure State fostered a love of the great outdoors, where Britney enjoys snow shoeing and hiking. When not busy taking good care of MINT* patients’ pearly whites, she thrives on spending time with her family—a husband, daughter, and two dogs named Boone and Nala.

Camille_Armstrong

Camille Armstrong, Dental Assistant

Growing up in Central Idaho, Camille always had a love for all things medical and dental. She pursued her passion for the medical field at Boise State University where she attended the College of Pharmacy. Subsequently, she worked as a Certified Pharmacy Technician for five years. Both then and now, making a positive difference in patients’ quality of life has been among the most rewarding aspects of her work, and it’s one of her favorite things about being part of the wonderful team at MINT*.

When not at work, Camille thrives on spending time with her family. She and her husband have a three-year-old daughter, Addisyn, who keeps them happily busy. She indulges her passion for the outdoors by camping, fishing, and boating. An avid cook, she also enjoys traveling and photography.

Derik_Powell

Derik Powell, Dental Assistant

Derik grew up in Great Falls, Montana, and will complete his Microbiology degree from Montana State University in 2016. Next on the horizon: dental school! He is inspired by his job at MINT*, where he notes that the awesome staff will do anything for anyone, and the doctors take no shortcuts and make no exceptions when it comes to the quality of their work.

Like a true Bozemanite, he can almost always be found outside when he’s not at the office. His hobbies include fly fishing, archery, hunting, skiing, whitewater rafting, hiking, and dirtbiking. Derik is a traveler—he has visited Spain, Italy, and France—but he also finds reward in helping his own community: in the wintertime, he enjoys volunteering as a ski assistant at Eagle Mount.

Kandus_Brechtelsbauer

Kandus Brechtelsbauer, Dental Assistant

Kandus was born and raised in Michigan. There, she attended school at Kirtland Community College, graduating with an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B) degree and license. Then Kandus moved to Montana, lured by the beautiful landscapes and friendly people. That friendliness, along with the positive, upbeat atmosphere, are part of what make her job at MINT* so fulfilling. She enjoys making sure each patient feels like family and receives the best dental experience possible.

Outside of work, her vibrant life includes spending time with her daughter, reading, hiking, dancing, and competing in tough mudder competitions. Laredo, a cat, and Cookie and Boing-Boing, a pair of rabbits, round out her household.

Also an artist, Kandus enjoys making life-size and larger-than-life sculptures with concrete and metal. Her admirable approach to life is to always find the positive in every situation.

kirsten_peterson

Kirsten Peterson CDA, Clinical Manager

As a member of the MINT* team most likely to sport a Cheese-Head, Kirsten grew up in Stoughton, WI, where good times were spent with family cheering on the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers! Kirsten arrived in Bozeman after graduating from high school and received her certification in Dental Assisting and CDA, from Assist to Succeed Dental Training program.

Now one of MINT*’s biggest fans, Kirsten appreciates working with all of her great patients and co-workers, and the unique and refreshing look of the dental office is a plus! Kirsten loves being in Bozeman, and depending on the season, Kirsten likes to hike, fish, or go hunting with her husband, Josh. Besides being an excellent cook, Kirsten also enjoys travel (when she gets the chance), but mostly she loves watching her children, Madisyn and Brody, learn something new everyday!

McCaela Mitman

McCaela Mitman, Dental Assitant

McCaela moved from her home in Florence, Montana, to Bozeman, where she works hard as a student of Cell Biology and Neuroscience at Montana State University. She hopes to translate her love of both science and people into a career as a dentist, so MINT* is a perfect fit for her—and it doesn’t hurt that she thinks the rest of the staff is fantastic!

McCaela is a nature lover; hiking, camping, and fishing in the beautiful outdoors comprise a few of her hobbies outside of work. Her canine companion, Rugby, accompanies her on many adventures. Her pet snake, Kennedy, holds down the fort at home.
